Online Executive Coaching
Based in North London
Welcome, and thank you for visiting. My name is Anna Rowland and I provide online executive coaching. I am based in North London near Palmers Green, Southgate, Winchmore Hill.
I’m an experienced transformational executive coach with over 100 hours’ coaching experience with executives and aspiring leaders to support their career development, progression and advancement.
I’ve worked with clients on a wide range of issues including building confidence, giving presentations, tackling imposter syndrome, addressing and managing stress and handling difficult relationships.
My career has involved leadership roles in high pressure, male dominated professions and I specialise in supporting women to be empowered, establish their presence and manage boundaries in challenging environments.
I welcome clients of all ethnicities, ages, disabilities, genders and sexual orientations and I have experience of working with neurodivergent clients.
I am based in North London but work with clients across the UK and internationally by online video.
I offer an initial consultation free, where we can talk about what you want to tackle through coaching and how my approach might work for you.
I qualified in Law in 1994 with Commendation. I have an ILM7 Certificate in Coaching and Mentoring and I’m an associate member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council.
I carry out regular professional development training which can be viewed here.

Coaching has been shown to help increase self-confidence, improve work performance, help relationships and enhance communication skills (Institute of Coaching 2009).
I use a range of tools and techniques to help you find solutions to the issues you bring to coaching and to manage them yourself in future. But it is the relationship between coach and client that is the key to successful coaching.
Tip of the Month: For persistent anxiety retrain your brain to see safety and not just threats - say five things you are glad happened or didn't happen every day.
I offer an initial consultation free of charge to discuss how I can help so you can decide if I'm the right coach for you.

I qualified as a lawyer and worked in private practice until I discovered that I was more interested in reforming the law than applying it. I spent 11 years leading high profile law reform programmes including compensation for injured miners and for victims of hit and run drivers. I’ve spent a further 15 years leading reform of medical regulation to improve healthcare and now also coach those developing their careers.
I have received huge support from coaching throughout my career to develop my own leadership journey. This inspired me to train as a coach to support others.
I offer a confidential, supportive and non-judgemental space where we can look at what obstacles you’re facing. I work in a transformative way, seeking the underlying cause rather than focusing only on the current challenge and working together to address the issue at its root.
This involves very careful listening to understand if the issues arise from a gap in knowledge or skills, a need to revisit your assumptions about the problem or at the deepest level exploring a shift in how you see yourself. We can discuss new behaviours, rehearse them, try them and refine them until they are the new normal.
Anxiety helps keep you safe from danger but it can become debilitating, causing negative thoughts that undermine your confidence. By examining how your experiences have affected your thought patterns I will support you to develop new ones that build confidence. Rather than avoiding stress you can grow your ability to manage it.
‘I am not afraid of storms, for I am learning how to sail my ship’
Louisa May Alcott
Some experiences leave trauma and shame and, when you lock them away deep inside, you lock up parts of yourself. By examining and overcoming them you recover those lost parts of yourself, reducing your reliance on the opinions of others.
‘If you are always trying to be normal, you will never know how amazing you can be’
Maya Angelou
Having a plan will help you get things done, but unexpected events can make you feel out of control. Chaos can be frightening but it also brings opportunity to create a better plan. Reducing your need for control and increasing your creativity in response to the unexpected will empower you. And it’s strange how often we look back and see that threats had long-term benefits.
‘It turns out that an eerie type of chaos can lurk just behind a facade of order - and yet deep inside the chaos lurks an even eerier type of order’
Douglas Hofstadter
We would work together weekly or fortnightly to discuss the issues that brought you to coaching, reviewing progress as we go against what you said at the outset you wanted to achieve. 8 sessions is an average transformational coaching journey but may be shorter or longer depending on your aims.
I offer an initial consultation free of charge where where we can talk about what you want to tackle through coaching and how my approach might work for you. If after that, you decide to work with me my fees are:
